Many thanks and best regards,

11:00: Check-out

Arrival - Day Guests

Please try to arrive at 2PM. We advise to get ready before arrival.

Rooms won't be available for check in until 3PM, but there should be places to store any bags that you might have until after the ceremony. Check-out will be by 11AM.

There is reasonable parking at the venue, but where possible we'd ask for groups to share lifts as this will make it easier to ensure there is plenty of available parking.

Getting to the venue

Sat-nav is reasonably good from Woking, though there are multiple different routes that can be taken. It takes just about an hour on average, but bear in mind that it will be middle of the day on Saturday, so traffic might make that a little longer.

SAT NAV POSTCODE: RH6 8PB

The venue's recommendation is to take the M25, then the M23 past Gatwick. You can also take the M25 and come through Redhill or Reigate.

Personally, I quite like the drive through the Surrey Hills, which is slightly longer, but more peaceful.

I should note that my experience with sat-nav getting back to Woking can be a bit unreliable, often trying to take very awkward and unnecessarily complicated routes for no obvious reason. I strongly suggest eyeballing your route and taking the simplest path on main roads, particularly around Horley/Reigate.

Again, please try to share lifts as much as possible.

Activities

There will be a few things to do on the day, other than eating and drinking.

There will be a Polaroid camera and somewhere to show off your best snaps. Also there will be a guest book where you can share a snap and a little message for us.

Be creative, and have fun!

Q&A

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable, so dress as you wish. There's no need to be overly formal, but let's try to keep it neat and tidy for the photos.

Can I bring a cheeky bottle of vodka?

Please do not bring any drinks of any kind  from outside the venue. This is a contractual requirement we have with the venue. Their corkage charge is pretty steep, so we've elected against it!

Can I throw confetti?

Please do not bring or throw any confetti. This was agreed with the venue on environmental and aesthetic grounds.

Is your dog friendly? Will she bite me?

She's very friendly. Probably too friendly.

She won't bite or harm you in any way, but she may get excited and jump sometimes. She may try to kiss you. If you're not comfortable with her, the best thing to do it completely ignore her and she'll get bored and pester someone else.

Can I give your dog a treat?

That's a very generous offer, and I'm sure she fed you all sorts of lies about not having ever been fed or given treats in her life, and made all sorts of promises about the undying love she would give to you forever and ever if you just let her have just a tiny morsel of dinner.

But she's a liar. Please don't feed the Willow.

A note about the photographer

It goes without saying, but the photographer has asked us to reiterate that we will tolerate no form of abuse or intimidation or any other unpleasant behaviour towards her. If you don't want her to photograph something, please just politely ask her. We have asked her specifically to try to capture "real" moments rather than staged pictures.
